Manic

I was alive,
When I was younger I could fly,
But something changed
A weight it trails right down my spine,
I feel the world now on my shoulders.

And so we tried,
That day we hung out in the storm,
You got so cold,
And somehow would never warm,
And I’ve been trying to find my way back to you

And all of the x’s and o’s,
That we mapped to our bones,
That we tried just to hold,
But it’s too hard,
You got that anxious,
That panic, its Manic
Ya you tried to hold but I guess it was too hard.

So much to write,
But not enough to fit it all,
You changed my life,
But know its 30 seconds long,
I got so much left that I need to say to you,

Your father’s right,
You should have let what’s in your head,
Out to play,
And don’t hold it to your chest,
I swear I could have done something to change your mind,

And all of the x’s and o’s,
That we mapped to our bones,
That we tried just to hold,
But it’s too hard,
You got that anxious,
That panic, its Manic
Ya you tried to hold but I guess it was too hard.

But I’m alive,
And to be honest,
You are not,
We could have tried,
To make this work, but know its shot,
It’s time that I left it all to you.

But I’m alive,
And maybe someday I’ll be dead,
But to be frank,
I got so many years ahead,
Imma make the most of them.

And all of the x’s and o’s,
That we mapped to our bones,
That we tried just to hold,
But it’s too hard,
You got that anxious,
That panic, its Manic
Ya you tried to hold but I guess it was too hard.
